Is if that were the real reason, if it wasn't really opposition to having black students in a white school, that would make more sense. unfortunately, in this country, racism was at the core. it was this fundamental belief and view that there is something wrong with black people that they are intellectually inferior, i mean, straight up formal overt explicit racism. that was the order of the day. and so i think why people like senator harris are concerned is how are you demonstrating that you understand whether or not, you know, you think -- you thought at the time that school bussing was good...
