Lots along San Francisco beaches are already full, and its no surprise why temperatures are at least 15 degrees cooler here than other parts of the city. But the San Francisco Fire Department is reminding beachgoers that rip currents are a serious concern, and with unusually warm temperatures outside and chilly ocean temperatures, its a good idea to limit your time in the water. So, if youre coming here without a wet suit and just shorts and a tshirt, you could succumb to hypothermia after just a few minutes in the water.
