THE CITY council has been reported to the information watchdog for failing to respond to a request asking for cycle-usage data on a controversial road. A Freedom of Information request was handed to Brighton and Hove City Council in October, asking for the amount of bicycles on the Old Shoreham Road over a four-year period. Anyone has the right to ask to see recorded information held by public authorities. You can hand in requests, which the council must respond to, through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
