From The Tribune staff reports BESSEMER A man found dead inside a Bessemer hotel had blunt force trauma, according to Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates. Sean P. Coker, 46, of Augusta, Georgia, was found inside his room at the Quality Inn, off Academy Lane, on Saturday, April 17, 2021. Hotel staff found him around 10:30 a.m. It is unclear how long Coker was dead inside the room before he was discovered. The Bessemer Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. ....

(WBRC) - The Jefferson County Coroner said a Georgia man was found dead inside a room at the Quality Inn Motel in Bessemer on Saturday, April 17. The coroner said 46-year-old Sean P. Coker, of Augusta, was discovered by a motel employee inside one of the rooms. Coker was found to have sustained blunt force trauma. No one is currently in custody.
