For several years, I have reread the original in a comfortable chair by the tree. It is a story that transcends time, unfortunately, about the extremes of the haves and the have nots . There is redemption, generosity and, ultimately, hope. Good themes for 2021. It remains contemporary nearly 180 years later. Favourite holiday song: Very tough here. It has shifted over the years.
