Procitrus associates will export 6% more citrus this year The general manager of Procitrus, Sergio del Castillo Valderrama, stated that the companies affiliated with the Association of Citrus Producers of Peru (Procitrus) are expected to export 230,000 tons of citrus this year, i.e. 6% more than in 2020. Del Castillo Valderrama highlighted that the companies associated with Procitrus accounted for 81% of all Peruvian citrus exports, which last year totaled 268,384 tons (+ 39% over 2019). This increase in citrus exports by Procitrus associates will be led by mandarins, which account for 85% of all citrus exports.
