Jenkinson's lawsuit dismissed, no alcohol in Point Pleasant Beach

POINT PLEASANT BEACH - A federal judge has rejected a bid by Jenkinson's Pavilion to overturn an ordinance barring customers from bringing alcohol onto its private beaches.
In a 22-page ruling Friday, Wolfson held that the Jenkinson's lawsuit, which claimed the borough wielded an "illegal use of power," was "convoluted and ambiguous" and couldn't show how the ordinance, on its face, had caused any harm.
The judge gave Jenkinson's until May 10 to file an amended complaint challenging the ordinance as applied by borough police officers. The company can also file a lawsuit challenging the ordinance in state Superior Court.
