Adegoke spoke during a media tour of facilities and cultivation of its 50,000 acres of SGL Farms in Abeokuta, Ogun State. In a statement on Thursday, he called for government’s direct involvement or support in land clearing and preparation. He said the sector was frustrated by the absence of farm machinery for hire and disappointing services by private sector farm equipment hiring services. According to the statement, during the tour of the farm, the agriculture firm showcased several hectares of lands cultivated with rice, maize, cassava, tomatoes, cucumber, watermelon and yams. ....
