The Teaching Support Staff Union at SFU announced the early deal on social media Thursday morning.
The union is calling for a cost-of-living wage adjustment, a pay model that takes into account bigger class sizes and growing duties and more job stability and security.
The Teaching Support Staff Union has been without a contract for more than a year, since its collective agreement expired in April 2022.
The union represents more than 3,500 workers, who teach and conduct research at Simon Fraser University but aren’t faculty, including research and teaching assistants.
