27.04.2021 | Organic Champions Honored at the One World Award The 2021 international One World Award (OWA) was successfully held virtually, with the event live streamed from Legau, Germany. The OWA honours people and their projects that make the world a better place; dedicated people who give positive and innovative examples of globalisation - people who make the future worth living. At the same time IFOAM - Organics International honors persons who have dedicated their lives to promoting organic, with its Lifetime Achievement Award. The vibrant virtual ceremony kicked off with a welcome message from Joseph Wilhelm, the initiator of the One World Award and Managing Director of Rapunzel Naturkost and Peggy Miars, the President of IFOAM - Organics International. They both stressed the need to continue supporting sustainable and innovative initiatives from all over the world; a statement that was echoed in a keynote address from German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Gerd Müller.
