The Ledger Require proof of sanity to run for office Apparently you do not have to pass a sanity test to run for public office. I cite the case of Republican representative from Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Greene. For her to suggest that on 9-11-2001 a plane didn't fly into the Pentagon, or that the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School massacre didn't happen, that there is fake news. Those statements and others, including that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from President Donald Trump, are all rantings from a person who is not connected to the real world.
