A 32-year-old Washington, D.C., man is now the fourth convicted person changed with robbing a Dunkirk bank last May 1 and then leading police on a harrowing chase that resulted

Cedric Fonta Moore, of Washington, DC, was sentenced in Calvert County Circuit Court to 23 years incarceration, with 9 years active, for his role in the May 2023 robbery of the M&T Bank in Dunkirk. The sentence was imposed by Judge Mark S. Chandlee.

In 2023, the State’s Attorney’s Office filed criminal charges in 135 cases in the Circuit Court for Calvert County. Most, if not all, of these cases involved felonies.  In addition, the State prosecuted 70 cases in which a jury trial or appeal had been requested in the District Court, and one case that was transferred from St. Mary’s County, for a total of 206 new Circuit Court prosecutions in 2023.
