Three more provisional licenses have been issued for Connecticut’s legal cannabis market, including one retailer and two social equity cultivators.
Hartford City Councilwoman Tiana Hercules’ Connecticut Cultivation Solutions has received its 14-month provisional license to set up its grow business, according to information from the state.
Ayr Wellness, the Florida-based multistate operator partnering with Hercules in the endeavor, confirmed Thursday morning that the provisional license has been issued and that the company owns a minority stake in the business.
The state has announced the names of the first six cannabis retailers moving forward with the licensing process after gaining social equity status.
The state Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) on Friday named six retailers, three equity joint ventures, and two micro-cultivators that recently had their social equity status approved and are moving forward with the licensing process, which includes submitting information for a background check and paying fees before receiving a provisional license.
The retailers are:
