Female runner violently attacked in Colchester Cait Smith was assaulted by a group of men while out for an evening run Facebook/Cait Smith A female runner has spoken of her shock and issued a warning to other women after being attacked while running through an Essex park in earlier this week. Cait Smith, 23, was running in Castle Park in Colchester at around 10pm on the evening of Tuesday May 4th when she was attacked from behind by three men who ‘smashed’ her head into the ground. The attacked left her with a swollen face, black eye and cuts and bruises on her arms.
