Police, SLED investigating deadly Walterboro shooting VIDEO: Police, SLED investigating fatal Walterboro shooting By Patrick Phillips | January 14, 2021 at 11:47 AM EST - Updated January 14 at 12:57 PM WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCSC) - Police in Walterboro have asked for assistance from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division in an active shooting investigation. Walterboro Police Capt. Ron Grant confirmed the shooting victim died, but denied rumors that the shooting involved a police officer. SLED spokesman Tommy Crosby confirmed that agents were called in to assist police officers in the area of Sniders Highway. He could not provide further details on the investigation. There is no immediate word on whether anyone is in custody. ....
