Musings: A bustling holiday on Broadway in Sonoma
People arriving in Sonoma on our main north/south street knew it was Christmas back then because our volunteer firefighters strung huge, old-fashioned, curvy, sparkling decorations across the entire street, hanging them from the wooden telephone poles that lined both sides.
