Council to examine downtown development rules
Scottsdale City Council has decided to review the Old Town Character Area Plan â a move that could open the door to limiting the maximum heights for new developments. Council asked staff to agendize an official review for its Aug. 24 meeting over concerns that current height allowances are overburdening downtown infrastructure and run contrary to residentsâ desires.
