The Department of the Air Force selected Patrick Space Force Base in Brevard County, Florida, as the preferred location to host the Space Training and Readiness Command  (STARCOM) Headquarters, along with Space Delta 10. The Space Coast lost out on hosting the Department of Defense's U.S. Space Command headquarters last year, but its two military installations have been named the preferred location for a smaller entity, the Space Force's training headquarters known as STARCOM, according to an announcement from U.S. Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall.

The Department of the Air Force announced on Wednesday that the Space Force Space Training and Readiness Command training headquarters will be in Florida, moving its provisional headquarters from a temporary home in Colorado Springs.
