Australia Invest $1.7 Billion in Advanced Missile Defense Systems
Seeking precision range effectors, Australia invests A$1.7bn in advanced missile systems, including the Tomahawk, Spike LR II, and AARGM-ER.
The majority of this funding, around £1.02 billion, will be used for the procurement of over 200 Tomahawk cruise missiles from the United States.
Australia will acquire more than 200 long-range missiles as part of a major weapons package as the government emphasises how the AUKUS agreement will help deter China's growing military presence in the region.
