Abraham Lincoln Home historic site could expand with Park Service OK
A proposal would make the Elijah Iles House and the yet-to-be constructed Lincoln's Springfield Cottage part of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site by asking the National Park Service to extend the historic site boundaries. The cottage, a vision of what the home of Abraham Lincoln and his family was before its expansion, is slated to be built on what is now a former parking lot at 617 S.
