Westinghouse to study UK production of advanced nuclear fuel : Uranium & Fuel

Westinghouse has been awarded a grant by the UK government to complete a Pre-Front End Engineering Design study, in collaboration with Urenco, for the production of TRISO fuels at its Springfields facility in Preston, Lancashire.

UK government funding for advanced reactor development : Nuclear Policies

The UK government has announced GBP3.3 million (USD3.8 million) in funding to support the development of advanced nuclear technology. Six projects aimed at developing Advanced Modular Reactors in the UK have been selected to receive funding totalling GBP2.5 million.
