Deangelo J. Troop Jr. was 15 when Kasir Gambill was killed in 2020. Because he was juvenile at time, Troop can avoid life sentence with no parole.
Defendants James I. Garcia and Deangelo Troop Jr., both 17, were 15 when Kasir was killed in Dec. 2020. The two pleaded not guilty at arraignments.
