I am pleased to share with you that I have formed the Presidentand#8217;s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee. The formation of this group is based on one of the recommendations from the Presidential Task Force for Opportunity and Equity. This new committee will be charged with advising me regarding our progress as it relates to recommendations from the task force while also fostering accountability, assessment and encouraging progress.
Elon provided COVID-19 testing as faculty and staff return after the winter break in Alumni Gym. The following update from the Ready & Resilient Committee sent to faculty and staff focuses on the increased testing that will begin next week for students, faculty and staff as well as information about volunteering to assist with testing. TRAVEL, ARRIVAL AND TESTING Sophomores, juniors, seniors: Schar Center (look for tent in back of the building) First-year students: Alumni Gym in Koury Athletics Center Testing for everyone on all other days will occur in Alumni Gym. Travel or weather delays Same Day Arrival: If your travel is delayed and you can arrive at the test site during testing hours on the same day of your appointment, just come late to the test site.
