Instead they say they favor what they call a merit based immigration system. The way that system works in canada, for example, people who are fluent in english and have higher educational degrees are given preference to legally enter the country. What this does is it lets everybody compete individually. What fairer way can you do than have a situation where everybody has a same level right to get into this country if they qualify .
