Off to a perfect start in her career, three-year-old pacing filly Mollop Hanover stole the spotlight at Woodbine Mohawk Park with a victory in the Friday night feature.

The 2022 Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) regular season wrapped with a flourish of fillies at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday night (Oct. 6), as the three-year-old trotting lasses and two-year-old pacing fillies squared off in a pair of $159,000 Gold Series Legs. 

Owning a racehorse is a lot of fun. Owning a stakes-winning racehorse is even more fun. Trainer John Pentland and the ownership group of Cheesy Smile definitely fall into the latter as they’ve been enjoying the ride their star freshman pacing filly has them on this season.

Ontario’s top two-year-old pacing fillies traveled to Grand River Raceway Wednesday night (Aug. 17) for a pair of $102,200 Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Gold divisions.

Big Big Plans made it two in a row on a perfect summer evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday night (July 14), winning a Gold division for rookie pacing fillies — one of four Ontario Sires Stakes Gold divisions on the card.
