Legislators including Senate President Martin M. Looney (D-New Haven), Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff (D-Norwalk), State Senator Will Haskell (D-Westport), State Senator Cathy Osten (D-Sprague), State Representative Josh Elliott (D-Hamden) and State Representative Gary Turco (D-Newington) advocated for the passage of Senate Bill 146, which seeks to expand gaming options in the state. Among the bill s benefits, they said: revenues from internet lottery gaming would allow for continued, consistent funding of PACT CT, the state s debt-free community college program connecting numerous students with debt-free access to higher education.

State Senator Will Haskell (D-Westport) and 
State Representative Aimee Berger-Girvalo (D-Ridgefield) today rallied around legislation they co-introduced aimed at saving lives and preventing further tragedy in the name of their constituents. Senate Bill 110, currently being considered by the Public Health Committee, would require health clubs and athletic facilities to provide and maintain automatic external defibrillators, or AEDs.

Proposted CT bill could fine residents who do not vote


Christian Meissenn said, Nobody should be for not voting if they choose not to vote.  
Carol Griffith from West Hartford disagreed with Meissen said, It makes sense to me because the more people that vote it s the opinion of the state and people shouldn t be able to complain.  
John O’Toole said, I would think you don t need much motivation if you pay attention to the issues and everything else.  
If this proposal is enacted, according to the proposal, all eligible voters will be required to vote for every state election starting as soon as 2024 
If not, the statute would require the Secretary of State s office to send a survey asking why not? . ....
