New research suggests that people can walk way less than 10,000 steps to reduce the risk of dying from all causes.
Walking just under 4,000 steps per day could reduce the risk of dying from any cause, including from cardiovascular disease. A new study analysed 17 studies which looked at how many steps people took, typically in a weeklong period, and followed up on their health outcomes after around seven years.
