(Shutterstock ) ELGIN, IL An Elgin funeral home is calling for residents to help them honor an Elgin veteran who died three months ago without any family, the Daily Herald reports. Lance Cpl. Stephen Alan Myerson, a Marine veteran who served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970, died Sept. 11 at Citadel Care Center in Elgin, the report states. He was 72. During his service, he earned a National Defense Service Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal, the Daily Herald reports. ....
