Stoke-on-Trent Olympian Imran Sherwani has revealed he has been diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer s Disease in his fifties.
The 59-year-old former hockey player is best known for scoring two goals in the 1988 Olympic final against West Germany as Great Britain took home the gold in Seoul.
It was a far cry from Imran s day-to-day life as a newsagent in Cobridge. After quitting the international stage he went on to coach at Leek Hockey Club and served as director of hockey at Denstone College. ....
