La PORTE — From monster trucks to robots to a former president, the La Porte County Fair Board is bringing some new things to keep local youth interested and educated
The LaPorte County Fair is the first of three county fairs in the Region, with scheduled dates of July 8 through July 15. It marks the 177th celebration.

Here’s the scoop on county fairs in northwest Indiana.
LAPORTE â Olivia Penix, of Hanna, admits her obsession with the Budweiser Clydesdales. Penix has seen them twice, including at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in St. Louis, Missouri, and so it was only natural that she would travel to the LaPorte County Fair on Saturday to see them once again. "I had to come for the Clydesdales," Penix said, snapping photo after photo on her cellphone. The eight Budweiser Clydesdales, hitched to the famous red, white and gold beer wagon, were the hit of the opening day of the state's oldest county fair, according to fair officials and comments from fairgoers....
County fairs in Lake, Porter and LaPorte will be held this summer after a one-year absence last year due to COVID-19, representatives said.
