Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today Feb 25, 2021 8:39 AM (Stockdale) – Marion used a 27-8 run in the third quarter to overcome a sluggish first half and run away from Poth 57-32 in the area round of the 3A boys basketball playoffs on Wednesday at Stockdale High School. The Bulldogs trailed 11-8 at the end of the first quarter and only led by two, 21-19 at halftime. Marion looked like a different team after the intermission, opening the third period with an 18-2 surge and eventually pushing the margin to 24 points late in the quarter. “We finally started playing Marion basketball,” head coach Jon Allen said. “It wasn’t them, it was us, and we fixed that. We settled down on defense, and we started running the offense that we practiced, and got easy looks.” ....
