Boris Johnson has praised British journalists in “terrifying and dangerous situations” after a correspondent was shot and wounded in an ambush near the Ukrainian capital.
The shooting lasted for several minutes and correspondent Stuart Ramsay and camerman Richie Mocker were both struck, according to Sky News.
After NBC’s Today skipped on Friday morning the frightening news that Russia had criminalized reporting basic facts about their war on Ukraine, NBC Nightly News gave the story 55 seconds of muted coverage hours later, possibly due to the fact that they were still reporting from Moscow as other western networks ceased reporting there and not risk prison sentences of up to 15 years.
British journalists with Sky News were shot at following an ambush by Russian forces that left one injured, and thankfully, no deaths were reported.
