NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The fourth-ranked Florida State softball team (42-8, 18-2) scored six runs in the top of the first and never looked back in an 11-2 win in five innings over Notre Dame (29-15-1, 11-11-1) to secure their seventh ACC series win of the season. The win marked Head Coach Lonni Alameda's 700th win as FSU's head coach. Alameda holds a 700-195-1 record for a ,781 winning percentage.

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State defensive back Jammie Robinson was selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers with the 145th overall pick on Saturday. Robinson’s selection extends Florida State’s streak to 40 consecutive NFL Drafts with at least one player picked. That streak, which began in 1984, is the eighth-longest active streak in the nation entering the 2023 draft. SOUTH BEND, Indiana – Notre Dame beat Florida State, 12-2, Saturday afternoon to even the weekend series between the teams at Frank Eck Stadium. The rubber match is set for Sunday at 3:00 pm. The Seminoles led 2-0 after solo home runs from James Tibbs and Nander De Sedas. Tibbs’ home run was his team-high 13th of the season and was his second leadoff home run of the year. FSU 1, LSU 3 Maddie Anderson and Paige Kalkoff dropped the first set 21-17, and could not recover in the second losing 21-17.
