The Bangladesh Border Force (BSF) is planning to deploy a marine battalion, drones, and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to secure the strategic Sunderbans mangrove region along the India-Bangladesh border. The plan, prepared by the Eastern Command of the border force, aims to prevent smuggling and infiltration in the area, which is the world s largest mangrove forest cover region.
"India has adopted a holistic approach towards conservation. We are not just focused on reducing emissions to tackle temperature rise, but are also working towards arresting land degradation, accelerating ecosystem restoration and enriching biodiversity," he said.
