KATHMANDU, July 22: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has resumed waste management operations in the valley after facing obstruction a few days ago.
KATHMANDU, July 20: The local residents of Kakani Rural Municipality in Nuwakot and Dhunibesi Municipality of Dhading have decided not to allow the disposal of garbage collected from the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts) in the Banchare Danda landfill site until the agreement reached previously is fully implemented.
The Kathmandu Valley again faces challenges for the waste management as locals of Kakani rural municipality in Nuwakot and Dhunibesi municipality in Dhading have obstructed the transportation of waste containers to Banchare Danda, the final landfill site.
KATHMANDU, April 13: The waste generated daily from the main administrative center of the country, Singha Durbar premises, is being dumped in the garden in front of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). Kathmandu Metropolis has stopped collecting garbage from Singha Durbar, Prime Minister's Residence Baluwatar and the President's Office for the last five days.
