The Delhi High Court on Friday rejected a plea by Supertech owner Ram Kishor Arora who had challenged his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Supertech's nearly 100-metre-tall twin towers -- Apex and Ceyane -- were demolished at 2.30 pm on August 28 as per a Supreme Court order that found their construction within Emerald Court premises in violation of norms. More than 3,700 kg of explosives were used in this operation. o
Noida twin tower demolition: In 2011, the Residents Welfare Association filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court. It was alleged that the UP Apartment Owners Act, 2010 was breached during the construction of the towers.
The nearly-100 metre tall structures -- taller than Delhi's iconic Qutub Minar -- in Noida's Sector 93A would be razed to the ground at 2.30 pm on Sunday.
Supertech Ltd has 38,041 customers and out of them, homes have been delivered to 27,111 people. As many as 10,930 homes are yet to be delivered.
