Supreme Court Implements a Stay on the Three Farm Laws:- The Indian farmers are protesting indefinitely against the newly introduced three farm laws that are passed in the Parliament last year. The protests of the farmers crossed 40 days at the borders of the national capital New Delhi. Seven rounds of talks took place between the Centre and the Farmer Unions but a possible resolution was never found. The farmers warned of intensifying the protests in the coming weeks. A series of petitions are filed in the Supreme Court and the top court responded about the issue. ....

'Genuinely interested to solve problem': SC suspends implementation of farm laws until further notice, forms panel

The ruling came on a batch of petitions challenging the validity of the three farm laws. A detailed order is expected later today. During the hearing, the chief justice said the court will pass an interim order saying the no farmers land can be sold for contract farming till the matter is resolved.
Before pronouncing the order, the bench commenced the hearing and urged the farmers unions to cooperate and go before the committee to be appointed by it to resolve the dispute.
“We are concerned about only the validity of the laws and also about protecting the life and property of citizens affected by protests,” said Justice Bobde. “We are trying to solve the problem in accordance with the powers we have.” ....

New Delhi: The farmer unions on Tuesday announced that they won’t accept the committee formed by Supreme Court for mediation between the kisan representatives and the government. Addressing a press conference, the farmer leaders said that the protesting kisans won’t appear before the committee and the agitation will continue.
While briefing the mediapersons, Krantikari Kisan Union chief, Darshan Pal, said that they had issued a press note Monday night stating that they won t accept any committee formed by Supreme Court for mediation. He said that the protesting farmers were confident that the Centre will get a committee ....
