A journalist is getting a different perspective on American history by walking it, and his journey includes stops in the Susquehanna Valley.Neil King visited Lancaster Central Market Tuesday morning.He started his walking trip from the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., and plans to finish in New York City at the end of the month.King is tweeting photos of his stops and historical sites, such as the Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge.He s hoping to write a book about what our country s history tells us about where we are now. My main urging to people – and it s not for everybody – but it’s just get out, go slow and pay attention to what s around us and talk to the people you meet, he said.King also planned to visit the Muddy Creek Farm Library in Ephrata to learn more about the Amish and Mennonite communities. ....
