February 24, 2021 The statewide Do More 24 Delaware fundraising event sponsored by United Way of Delaware and Spur Impact is being held from 6 p.m, Thursday, March 4, to 6 p.m., Friday, March 5. Pathways to Success is among the nonprofits participating this year. It serves students attending Cape Henlopen, Milford, Seaford and Sussex Technical high schools who are at risk for not graduating. The goal is to raise money for seniors who are going on to college for dorm baskets with the necessities that will help them succeed there. Many of the students are their families’ first generation to go to college, and are considered underserved and low income. The transition from high school to college is a challenge for all youth, but especially these. By having the tools they need for college, they will feel more confident in their new environment and ability to succeed.
