The Health Board has reported a technical glitch that has seen no Covid testing data move between the SYNLAB laboratory and the digilugu.ee website since Sunday morning. This means that the last day s coronavirus infection rate remains unknown. The Health Board usually shares the last 24 hours coronavirus statistics at 10.30 a.m., while the technical problem had not yet been fixed by 1 p.m. on Sunday, which is why not all of the data has reached the digilugu.ee online environment. Synlab said it will offer up to 71.5 million ordinary shares, leading to a total IPO size of up to 1.48 billion euros. It said it aimed to raise 400 million euros from the offering of new shares that will be used to repay part of its outstanding debt. The rest of will go to shareholders Cinven , Novo Holdings and the Canadian teacher pension fund OTPP. ....
The coronavirus tests of ten people or 0.4 percent of 2,502 people tested ahead of the Estonian language state examination proved positive on Friday. A total of 2,608 people, including 106 observers, were tested by the Ministry of Education and Research and SYNLAB on Friday. Ten exam-takers tested positive and must now isolate. They can take the exam at a later time. The ten people are from nine schools and five counties. One observer also tested positive for COVID-19. The Estonian language state examination will take place Monday. The ministry emphasizes that exam-takers, members of the exam committee and observers must stay home if they exhibit symptoms of any kind. The travelers presented certificates supposedly from private medical company SYNLAB. On Thursday, the company checked the certificates against its database and realised they were fakes, PPA spokesperson Kristjan Lukk said. Criminal proceedings were started for use of a forged document. A fine or three-year prison sentence can be handed down for using a fraudulent document. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Minister of the Interior Kristian Jaani explained the situation: We got a tip from SYNLAB that counterfeit certificates are in use.
