100 Days of Walking comes to an end as people nationwide celebrate milestone

Today marked the final leg of Newstalk s 100 Days of Walking challenge, and people across the country came out in their droves to celebrate the occasion. The initiative, supported by the Applegreen rewards app, was launched on January 1st this year by Newstalk Breakfast presenter Dr Ciara Kelly. She called on listeners to take up the challenge of walking for just thirty minutes a day for 100 days. Hundreds of people nationwide braved hail, rain and shine on a daily basis within their locality during the fourth year of the initiative.  Dr Kelly told Down to Business with Bobby Kerr earlier that 100 Days of Walking had been peculiar this year given the pandemic.
