Spokane became the first team to win titles in the af2 and AFL in grand fashion by beating the most storied franchise, the Tampa Bay Storm, in Arena Football history in ArenaBowl XXIII. Shock QB Kyle Rowley was responsible for all ten of the team's touchdowns en route to being named MVP. Over twenty ArenaBowl records were either set or tied in the first AFL championship game since 2008. The Spokane Shock held on after the loss of yet another quarterback due to injury to topple yet another division-leading team, beating the Chicago Rush 63-60. The Shock have now had more players take snaps from center (seven) this season than wins (six)....

The 2013 season was one with many highs for the Spokane Shock. Unfortunately, their season could not end on one. The Arizona Rattlers won the rubber match by a score of 65-57, sending the Shock back home with a devastating loss. A strong first half by the Shock was only an aberration. The Rattlers stormed back to close out the second half and dominated the 3rd quarter en route to a commanding victory. A 37-0 run gave the Rattlers enough of a lead to coast into ArenaBowl XXVI with a win.

The AFL sent out media ballots for the end of the season awards and All-Arena teams Sunday afternoon. After filling mine out, I wanted to share it with you and give you reasons why I feel each recipient should be named that specific award. In addition, I've included by All-Arena First and Second Teams. This is my ballot that I'm sending to the league after I post it here first.
