Two Calgary women who defaced a roadside sign promoting the petition to recall Mayor Jyoti Gondek won't face criminal charges, said the CPS.
The City of Calgary said the signs are in violation of the current Temporary Signs on Highways bylaw, which regulates the signage around size or location.
The development ends a days-long controversy involving signs popping up across the city and a couple of citizens painting over them in opposition.
