Erie County's numbers of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continued to decline Wednesday, though its number of deaths due to the new coronavirus remains high. Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper on Wednesday reported 59 new cases of COVID-19. Sarasota County will roll out its long anticipated new vaccine appointment system Wednesday, according to County Commissioner Christian Ziegler. The new system will allow residents 65 and older to either call in or use a mobile app or a computer to register for a spot to receive the COVID-19 vaccine when doses are available.
