Thadius McGrath, 35, of Chatham, Massachusetts, beat and strangled to death 31-year-old Samantha Rementer at her home in Northampton Township, Bucks County on June 8, prosecutors said. McGrath attempted to kill himself, but survived a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face, according to investigators. Rementer's two children were home at the time of her death and allegedly witnessed the attack.
