The Premier Soccer League have issued an update on the status of players ahead of this week's DStv Premiership action with three players set to miss out.
AmaZulu's Sibusiso Mabiliso, Baroka's Thamsanqa Masiya and Golden Arrows' Ntsako Makhubela are all on the League's suspension list for midweek action.
Log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns will visit second-placed AmaZulu on Wednesday afternoon (15h00) at Kings Park Stadium in what is set to be a mouth-watering clash.
The Brazilians will be hoping to bounce back from the Nedbank Cup exit at the hands of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila this past weekend, while also getting their spirits back up before facing Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.

Kaizer Chiefs player ratings as Amakhosi show character against Baroka FC

However, his work-rate was good and he maintained his composure throughout the match.

Held his ground and did well to protect the Chiefs defence.
As a result, most of Baroka's attacks came from the wings with Amakhosi dominating the midfield battle thanks to Cardoso.

A quiet game by the youngster, who contributed little to nothing in the attack.
Mashiane could not produce the kind of form he did in the last few weeks and he was substituted just after the hour-mark.

Linked up well with his teammates in the final third in the first-half.
However, Ngcobo's impact waned after the break with Mosele doing a great job to neutralize Amakhosi's playmaker.

Thoka Matsimela praises Baroka's fighting spirit

Baroka FC coach Thoka Matsimela praised his side's fighting spirit after holding Kaizer Chiefs to a 1-1 draw at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.
Thamsanqa Masiya gave the visitors the lead before Goodman Mosele put the ball into his own net as both sides ended up coming away with a point in a repeat scoreline of their infamous fixture on the final day of last season.
"It was tough for us," Matsimela told SuperSport TV.
"But I like the way the boys implemented themselves, the character, the fighting spirit. Just unlucky for this own goal. But it's football, it happens. The boys showed fight and I liked their fighting spirit.

Gavin Hunt: Could've been out of sight in the first half

Jan 26, 2021 - 07:55 pm

Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt felt his side should've been 'out of sight' in the first with the amount of chances they had against Baroka.
Chiefs dropped points yet again after their 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening, but Hunt felt Baroka forward Evidence Makgopa was real menace for his defence.
Makgopa's flick-on set up Thamsanqa Masiya for the opening goal of the match and Hunt said that Makgopa won the aerial duel on the day despite being much shorter than Chiefs' centre-backs.
"A lot of opportunities again. We could've been out of sight in the first half," Hunt told SuperSport TV.
