Dylan Larkin scored his 200th and 201st career goals to help the Detroit Red Wings beat the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 on Saturday night. Larkin extended his points streak to 11 games and pushed his team-leading goals total to 22. Detroit is 9-2-1 its last 12 games.
“It feels like a new season,” Martin Necas said after a game-breaking performance in his return after missing five games. “So let’s make it a better one.”
The New Jersey Devils were looking to turn things around heading into the holiday break and Tyler Toffoli did just that with nice deflection and a little puck luck against the Detroit Red Wings. The Rangers swarmed the Red Wings (7-5-1) through the first two periods as New York returned home after their six-game winning streak was snapped Saturday with a shootout loss in Minnesota.
