CLEMSON, S.C. - Junior defender Megan Bornkamp and Hensley Hancuff, former Tiger goalkeeper, have been named to the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team Roster as they are set to compete against France's U-23 Women's National Team, US Soccer announced Thursday. The 20-player roster consists of eight professionals and 12 collegiate players. Bornkamp, a two-time All American, three-time All Atlantic Region, three-time All ACC recipient and United Soccer Coaches Division I Women’s Player of Distinction Award winner looks to provide the U.S. depth and experience on the defensive end alongside some of the country's best. Hancuff was an integral part of the Tigers' success during her campaign in Clemson. She helped lead the Tigers to two NCAA Tournament appearances, including an Eight Eight run in her junior season. CLEMSON, S.C. - Six Tigers have been named to the ACC All-Academic Team, the conference announced Thursday afternoon. Megan Bornkamp, majoring in Management, is named to the ACC All-Academic Team for the second straight season. Bornkamp played and started in all 20 matches for the Tigers and was the backbone of the Tiger’s defense, while also leading the charge with a team-high 30 points. She was named a two-time United Soccer Coaches All American, First Team All-ACC, United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Atlantic Region, ACC All-Tournament Team, CoSIDA Academic All-District Team and Preseason All-ACC Team. Caroline Conti, a junior Sport Communications major, earns the honor for the second time in her career after playing in 19 matches and starting 18 of them.
