Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, have globally released the official desktop version of their text-based social media platform, Threads. The announcement was first stated and later confirmed by Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, in a series of Threads posts.

Meta has finally launched the web version for Threads. Meta's endeavor to establish its platform, Threads, as a formidable competitor to Twitter has taken a new turn as it introduces a web version, in a bid to invigorate its lackluster debut.

Users will be able to access the service by logging-in to its website from their computers, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram said.
