The Community Foundation for Delta County helped the Delta County Sheriff’s Office replace its Automated External Defibrillators
ESCANABA — When the Community Foundation for Delta County received a call from the Delta County Sheriff’s Office inquiring on the possibility of replacing two old G3 Automated External Defibrillators (AED) that were showing signs of aging and mentioned that the Sherriff Department was adding an addition patrol car in need of one a well, the Community Foundations’ Board of Trustees knew they wanted to help, said Tom Mitchell, board member.
“Replacing one AED is quite expensive, none the less needing 3, so this was weighing on my mind. I wasn’t sure how the Sheriff Department was going to be able to afford to do that. Therefore, I made a call to the Community Foundation for Delta County for direction and or help,” stated Road Patrol Lt. Todd Tardiff. He continued, “The Community Foundation for Delta County stepped up big time and donated three new Powerheart G5 AED’s to the Sheriff Department. The community foundation cares so much about helping to make our community a better place to live, work and play. Their support and all they do for community is very much appreciated.”
